Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Merinos JK's Doğa Çalkın started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Ferhat Yazargil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos JK and the Merzifon FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferhat Yazargil hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Abay Temizkanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Yula in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Numan Baykurt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merzifon FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merinos JK the free kick. A collision led to Merzifon FK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Numan Baykurt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merzifon FK's zone, Doğa Çalkın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekber Katib came out of the goal and Doğa Çalkın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Merinos JK's goal looked a bit too open when Tayfun Ucatekin came free, but Abay Temizkanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merinos JK's Ferhat Yazargil got a free kick in the 17th minute. Yaşar Yula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes, Merzifon FK's Tibet Oğuzalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abay Temizkanoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merzifon FK reached it. When Ferhat Yazargil was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. Ferhat Yazargil kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes, Merzifon FK's Tibet Oğuzalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abay Temizkanoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Doğa Çalkın received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ekber Katib came out and tried to block the shot, but Doğa Çalkın slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Haldun Recep's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ekber Katib read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Necip Fazıl Sabeddin charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Necip Fazıl Sabeddin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Necip Fazıl Sabeddin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yaşar Yula to make the kick off. Sufi Özilter's late challenge caught a Merinos JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sufi Özilter helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haldun Recep in the 59th minute of play forced Merzifon FK's goalkeeper Ekber Katib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Merzifon FK got a freekick which was hit by Tarık Müjdat. 65 minutes into the match, Merinos JK's goalkeeper Abay Temizkanoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tayfun Ucatekin. Tayfun Ucatekin struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Abay Temizkanoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merzifon FK. Abay Temizkanoğlu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tibet Oğuzalp. If Yaşar Yula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merinos JK's Abay Temizkanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaşar Yula in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Merzifon FK's goal looked a bit too open when Abdülhak İstikbal came free, but Ekber Katib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doğa Çalkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ekber Katib was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haldun Recep received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ekber Katib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Merinos JK had played much better football throughout.
