An unexpectedly hard shot by Özen Cesimi in the 3rd minute of play forced Merzifon FK's goalkeeper Ekber Katib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merzifon FK were furious when Numan Baykurt was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 4th minute, one of Merzifon FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Merzifon FK. The referee gave Cayiralan FK a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Işıkalp Bayrak, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Merzifon FK's Ekber Katib. 0-1. Gürsel Gaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekber Katib having to interfere. Özen Cesimi struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ekber Katib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayiralan FK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürsel Gaza in the 20th minute of play forced Merzifon FK's goalkeeper Ekber Katib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gürsel Gaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ekber Katib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duran Cingöz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tayfun Ucatekin in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Cayiralan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdurrezzak Pınarbaşı to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürsel Gaza in the 40th minute of play forced Merzifon FK's goalkeeper Ekber Katib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Merzifon FK's goalkeeper Ekber Katib, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match Sezer Ahi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ekber Katib skillfully saved the ball. If Gürsel Gaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cayiralan FK's Duran Cingöz got control of the ball when Tayfun Ucatekin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Cayiralan FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özen Cesimi to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ünsal Ruzi during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Merzifon FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ünsal Ruzi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Merzifon FK's zone, Gürsel Gaza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekber Katib came out of the goal and Gürsel Gaza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duran Cingöz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tayfun Ucatekin in the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Tayfun Ucatekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merzifon FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tayfun Ucatekin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duran Cingöz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekber Katib had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Özen Cesimi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 82nd match minute, Merzifon FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tayfun Ucatekin to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Merzifon FK got a freekick which was hit by Tayfun Ucatekin. In the 84th minute Özen Cesimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekber Katib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Özen Cesimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Işıkalp Bayrak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ekber Katib quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Cayiralan FK's Turabi Ceberut got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
