When Rasim Çağaçar fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Rasim Çağaçar a yellow card for diving instead. Rasim Çağaçar hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Feyzullay Saygur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamit Köklem in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, GALATASARAY's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tanju Musa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Umur Sağıt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feyzullay Saygur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GALATASARAY had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
