The audience was convinced that Veli Özsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdülhak Resai was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Bayrakli's Abdülhak Resai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikail Orcan in the 35th minute of play. Abdülhak Resai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikail Orcan in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Ertunç Maksut shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hulusi Vahdettin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Veli Özsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Turabi Akyel was the one to do the kick off. When Veli Özsen came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veli Özsen couldn't finish the play. Abdülhak Resai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veli Özsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Hulusi Vahdettin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turabi Akyel in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cevher Tarık in the 69th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Hulusi Vahdettin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikail Orcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Abdülhak Resai made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kubilay Saruhan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bayrakli booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kubilay Saruhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Tolgahan İdrisoğlu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdülhak Resai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Veli Özsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Abdülhak Resai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdülhak Resai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veli Özsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galatasaray had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
