After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Nazım Ünsaç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Affan Korur came out of the goal and Nazım Ünsaç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Cevahir Ortanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birant Yağın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Galatasaray's Cevahir Ortanca in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 47th minute, Galatasaray's Cevahir Ortanca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Birant Yağın. Birant Yağın yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cevahir Ortanca to strike the kick off in the second half. Kozyatagi FK's Nazım Ünsaç was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Birant Yağın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cevahir Ortanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ahmet Sedat Yumus fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Ahmet Sedat Yumus a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmet Sedat Yumus kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Galatasaray's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
