In the 2nd minute, one of Caybasi JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caybasi JK. Baykan Topçay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baykal Beyazit in the 10th minute of play. Mahsun Terim hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Baykal Beyazit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Caybasi JK's Hadi Yazganalp got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Caybasi JK's goal looked a bit too open when Poyraz Çelenkoğlu came free, but Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Poyraz Çelenkoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Caybasi JK's Hadi Yazganalp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baykan Topçay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bahadır Gülsoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Caybasi JK's Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ got control of the ball when Poyraz Çelenkoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ was a little too slow when Poyraz Çelenkoğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 42nd minute, KSK's Poyraz Çelenkoğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ. Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 47 minutes into the match, KSK's goal looked a bit too open when Bahadır Gülsoy came free, but Baykan Topçay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baykal Beyazit stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Baykal Beyazit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Poyraz Çelenkoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ. Caybasi JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Poyraz Çelenkoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Poyraz Çelenkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mete Lebib during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caybasi JK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Poyraz Çelenkoğlu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Poyraz Çelenkoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the KSK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Poyraz Çelenkoğlu couldn't finish the play. Tarık Onbulak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Hadi Yazganalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, KSK's goal looked a bit too open when Baykal Beyazit came free, but Baykan Topçay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poyraz Çelenkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ having to interfere. Baykan Topçay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baykal Beyazit's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Hadi Yazganalp charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hadi Yazganalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hadi Yazganalp kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. KSK's Tarık Onbulak got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarık Onbulak in the 91st minute of play forced Caybasi JK's goalkeeper Ahmet Hamdi Refiğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KSK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
