Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zekeriya Ulum started the match with the kick off. Keramettin Darcan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Hurşit Nurtekins short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Ottoman Empire getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cüneyt Ayaydın hit a great ball. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zekeriya Ulum in the 19th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Cüneyt Ayaydın notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Malatyaspor FK's Enver Karadeniz. Enver Karadeniz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Ottoman Empire's Cüneyt Ayaydın nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enver Karadeniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zekeriya Ulum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Malatyaspor FK booed when Ottoman Empire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hafız Gemici didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes, Malatyaspor FK's Özmen Evliya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malatyaspor FK reached it. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü was a little too slow when Zekeriya Ulum got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-2. Polat Hattat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hurşit Nurtekin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ottoman Empire's Cüneyt Ayaydın got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cüneyt Ayaydın to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malatyaspor FK's goalkeeper Enver Karadeniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ottoman Empire's Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamber Ağçelik in the 58th minute of play. Hurşit Nurtekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zekeriya Ulum in the 62nd minute of play. Enver Karadeniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Polat Hattat went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Cüneyt Ayaydın's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enver Karadeniz was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Zekeriya Ulum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malatyaspor FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zekeriya Ulum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ottoman Empire's Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurşit Nurtekin in the 75th minute of play. Hurşit Nurtekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Ottoman Empire got a freekick which was hit by İsmet Yücealp. A collision led to Malatyaspor FK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ömer Rıza Dürüst hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Enver Karadeniz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Asım Arif Canaydin hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Zekeriya Ulum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Polat Hattat struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Enver Karadeniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ottoman Empire would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
