When Necdet Pekalp came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Karsiyaka JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Necdet Pekalp couldn't finish the play. When Şimşek Kadri in the 17th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Mert Önel kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Oğuzhan İltemur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necdet Pekalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mert Önel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raşit Tuğsan in the 24th minute. Ecevit Taşdan kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Raşit Tuğsan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mert Önel, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şimşek Kadri in the 38th minute of play forced Karsiyaka JK's goalkeeper Mert Önel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kutay Dirayet fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halkali SK's protests and gave Kutay Dirayet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Halkali SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutay Dirayet to maneuver through the defense. Mert Önel stood somewhat misplaced when Şimşek Kadri came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 46 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sakut Güneş was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka JK's zone, Raşit Tuğsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mert Önel came out of the goal and Raşit Tuğsan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Halkali SK's Şimşek Kadri in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karsiyaka JK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th minute, Tuncer Başbuğoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oğuzhan İltemur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakut Güneş, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 65 minutes, Orçun Kuray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halkali SK and the Karsiyaka JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karsiyaka JK's Mert Önel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şimşek Kadri in the 71st minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Şimşek Kadri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karsiyaka JK's Mert Önel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Halkali SK booed when Karsiyaka JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilgaz Özdoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mert Önel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mert Önel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raşit Tuğsan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mustafa Emre Bayramoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karsiyaka JK's protests and gave Mustafa Emre Bayramoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Karsiyaka JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Halkali SK.
