Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ahmet Haşim Akhan kicked off to start the match. In the 7th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuz Sezal to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Haşim Akhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Haşim Akhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Muzaffer Ulucağ was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Hüsmen Ongar's late challenge caught a Bornova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hüsmen Ongar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18thth minute of the game Çakır Savni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bornova's Muzaffer Ulucağ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Çakır Savni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Haşim Akhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Muzaffer Ulucağ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Haşim Akhan came free, but Muzaffer Ulucağ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Haşim Akhan in the 30th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Muzaffer Ulucağ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hüseyin Turan Ziver hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Kutluay Baltacı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedim Zorlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Nabi Kartekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Nedim Zorlu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kutluay Baltacı to make any attempt to save it. Muzaffer Ulucağ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çakır Savni, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Ahmet Haşim Akhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Muzaffer Ulucağ was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nedim Zorlu made a kick off. Kutluay Baltacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Nabi Kartekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Muzaffer Ulucağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Haşim Akhan in the 59th minute of the match. Kutluay Baltacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedim Zorlu in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Ahmet Haşim Akhan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Muzaffer Ulucağ. Bornova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Haşim Akhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Zorlu in the 79th minute of play forced Meci FC's goalkeeper Kutluay Baltacı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Ahmet Haşim Akhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Çakır Savni got free with Muzaffer Ulucağ in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The attack was good, but when Ahmet Haşim Akhan in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The Meci FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
