In the 10th minute, Niyazi Özerdim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bora Han Tolgahan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Başaran Sezgen in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yavuz Bülent Tahsin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Mihalgazi booed when Gevas JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cüneyt Gürgan couldn't finish the play. Ferhan Üstay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Bülent Tahsin having to interfere. A collision led to Mihalgazi getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Aktuğ Barkan hit a great ball. After 48 minutes of play Mihalgazi's Niyazi Özerdim was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Mihalgazi's Niyazi Özerdim got a free kick in the 49th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Başaran Sezgen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferhan Üstay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Mihalgazi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cüneyt Gürgan to maneuver through the defense. Mihalgazi's Yavuz Bülent Tahsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferhan Üstay in the 58th minute of play. Gevas JK's Ferhan Üstay got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yavuz Bülent Tahsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferhan Üstay in the 60th minute of play. Ferhan Üstay struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Yavuz Bülent Tahsin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gevas JK. Hamit Mevlit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sertel Zişan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aktuğ Barkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gevas JK's zone, Sertel Zişan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bora Han Tolgahan came out of the goal and Sertel Zişan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st match minute, Mihalgazi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sedat Orhon to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Akif Yanıker struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Yavuz Bülent Tahsin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gevas JK. After having played for 85 minutes, Hamit Mevlit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gevas JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamit Mevlit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Mihalgazi's goal looked a bit too open when Hamit Mevlit came free, but Yavuz Bülent Tahsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nejat Gagauz charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nejat Gagauz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mihalgazi getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nejat Gagauz hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Gevas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Vefik Arpacı to maneuver through the defense. Cüneyt Gürgan's late challenge caught a Gevas JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cüneyt Gürgan helped the player get up and apologised. Aktuğ Barkan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Mihalgazi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
