Kerimhan Tanyeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lefter Çağa having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Agah Özdinçer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lefter Çağa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. The supporters of Tunger12 booed when Balikesir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Saygın Kalgay didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Balikesir getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bektaş Ali Oksay hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Agah Özdinçer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lefter Çağa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Agah Özdinçer kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The Balikesir fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Balikesir's Kurtuluş Dilercan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 44th match minute, Tunger12 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferit Canver to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agah Özdinçer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Kerimhan Tanyeli made a precise shot to the right of Lefter Çağa. Balikesir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 54 played minutes Tunger12 got a freekick which was hit by Melih Cevdet Can. Resul Akkoyun struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Serhat Ertüze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balikesir. Necdet Nefer's late challenge caught a Balikesir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Necdet Nefer helped the player get up and apologised. Tunger12's Serhat Ertüze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resul Akkoyun in the 59th minute of play. Melih Cevdet Can kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Kerimhan Tanyeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Resul Akkoyun in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serhat Ertüze, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Balikesir's Kurtuluş Dilercan got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Yasin Enfal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tunger12 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Tunger12's Kerimhan Tanyeli got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Tunger12's Kerimhan Tanyeli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lefter Çağa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Resul Akkoyuns short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Serhat Ertüze to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
