Rüstem Cumhur started the match with the kick off. Yıldız SK were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Karakecili FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mustafa Birol Sonalp took the corner. 12 minutes into the match, Karakecili FK's goal looked a bit too open when Olcay Peker came free, but Tolga Beysun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Rüstem Cumhur made a precise shot to the right of Tolga Beysun. Karakecili FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Fethi Demirci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andaç Kutlay during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Yıldız SK got a freekick which was hit by Andaç Kutlay. If Fethi Demirci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karakecili FK's Tolga Beysun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rüstem Cumhur in the 29th minute of play. Cezmi Paşa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 45th minute, Rüstem Cumhur made a precise shot to the right of Tolga Beysun. Karakecili FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fethi Demirci was the one to do the kick off. Andaç Kutlay was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Yıldız SK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Andaç Kutlay hit a great ball. If Ferhan Çoğun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferhan Çoğun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes, Yağız Oksay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yıldız SK and the Karakecili FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yağız Oksay kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes, Karakecili FK's Fazıl Biçim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cezmi Paşa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karakecili FK reached it. With a little luck, Karakecili FK's Tolga Beysun got control of the ball when Olcay Peker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olcay Peker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuralp Özerk kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tan Serhan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Tolga Beysun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mustafa Birol Sonalp. Olcay Peker struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tolga Beysun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yıldız SK. If Yağız Oksay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Olcay Peker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 91st minute of the match Tan Serhan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tan Serhan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Yıldız SK booed when Karakecili FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Serhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Mustafa Birol Sonalp from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Tolga Beysun's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tolga Beysun made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Olcay Peker sent off a good shot on target. Olcay Peker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolga Beysun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Karakecili FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fethi Demirci to maneuver through the defense. The Karakecili FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Yıldız SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
