The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Özalp Oğuztan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afşar Dikici, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Türkeş Nurtekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Derdiyok having to interfere. Eray Alpaslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Derdiyok having to interfere. KARADAŞ FK's Özalp Oğuztan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macit Tavil in the 40th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afşar Dikici made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Eray Alpaslan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KARADAŞ FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eray Alpaslan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eray Alpaslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Şafak Derdiyok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Türkeş Nurtekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şafak Derdiyok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türkeş Nurtekin in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute KARADAŞ FK were awarded a corner. Batur Uğuralp went to the cornerflag to take it. Batur Uğuralp made a great header on KARADAŞ FK's corner, it was just that Samsunspor's Şafak Derdiyok managed to reach the ball for a save. Afşar Dikici struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Özalp Oğuztan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsunspor. Macit Tavil scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Özalp Oğuztan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şafak Derdiyok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Türkeş Nurtekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KARADAŞ FK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Samsunspor to leave the ground with a draw.
