The referee showed İrfan Mürşit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Onurhan İskender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, FC KAVAKLI's goal looked a bit too open when Onurhan İskender came free, but Mustafa Yaşar Maksum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fikri Çevikcan hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Yağız Safvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC KAVAKLI's supporters rose to their feet, but Yağız Safvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ekrem İlbaşı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mustafa Yaşar Maksum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onurhan İskender in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Onurhan İskender left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Babadag fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Onurhan İskender's late challenge caught a FC KAVAKLI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onurhan İskender helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Babadag getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Onurhan İskender hit a great ball. Ahmet Boran Önel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, İrfan Mürşit managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC KAVAKLI's supporters rose to their feet, but İrfan Mürşit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ekrem İlbaşı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mustafa Yaşar Maksum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onurhan İskender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Babadag booed when FC KAVAKLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyhun Özdoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes, Babadag's Güvenç Biçimli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mustafa Yaşar Maksum came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Babadag reached it. In the 47th minute, Seyhun Özdoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onurhan İskender to make the kick off. Mustafa Yaşar Maksum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lokman Demirtaş in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Babadag's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Boran Önel came free, but Ekrem İlbaşı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC KAVAKLI's Şeray Ayberk got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onurhan İskender in the 62nd minute of play forced FC KAVAKLI's goalkeeper Mustafa Yaşar Maksum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Ahmet Boran Önel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekrem İlbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kuddusî Garipoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuddusî Garipoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 67 minutes into the game, one of Babadag:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ekrem İlbaşı went to the wrong direction when Mehmet Bedri Oğuzer was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 72nd minute, Babadag's Lokman Demirtaş ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mustafa Yaşar Maksum. Mustafa Yaşar Maksum yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Ekrem İlbaşı stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Boran Önel's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. FC KAVAKLI's Mustafa Yaşar Maksum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC KAVAKLI from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Boran Önel in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ekrem İlbaşı saved Babadag from getting behind. When İrfan Mürşit came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC KAVAKLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İrfan Mürşit couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Boran Önel took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ekrem İlbaşı. Ekrem İlbaşı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Ahmet Boran Önel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ekrem İlbaşı read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Babadag walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
