In the 2nd match minute, Battalgazi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Memduh Cinel to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Kagithane FK booed when Battalgazi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mümin Vakkasoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Battalgazi's zone, Mümin Yağmurdereli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Servet Durkaya came out of the goal and Mümin Yağmurdereli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Mümin Yağmurdereli took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Servet Durkaya to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Kagithane FK's zone, Kutalp Yorgun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atalay Kutel came out of the goal and Kutalp Yorgun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Battalgazi's Reha Okboğa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reha Okboğa in the 35th minute of play forced Kagithane FK's goalkeeper Atalay Kutel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Kutalp Yorgun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atalay Kutel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mümin Yağmurdereli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Kutalp Yorgun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battalgazi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutalp Yorgun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Reha Okboğa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
