Rahmi Taciroğlu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Madrid! Real Madrid:s Doğaner Sabir showed great skill when he stopped Nazım Barkın:s penalty. The Semdinli players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Madrid were winning 0-1.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Buminhan couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Madrid walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
