Ergün's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beşiktaş the free kick. After 4 played minutes Ergün got a freekick which was hit by Cuma Durhal. Sami Bekiroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agah Tuncel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arif Cengiz Özan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamza Zihni saved Beşiktaş from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Cengiz Özan came free, but Hamza Zihni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beşiktaş's Akgün Cangur got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Akgün Cangur came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Beşiktaş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akgün Cangur couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahap Peyam in the 42nd minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Hamza Zihni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Vahap Peyam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamza Zihni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agah Tuncel made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş's zone, Vahap Peyam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamza Zihni came out of the goal and Vahap Peyam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergün's Sami Bekiroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akgün Cangur in the 59th minute of play. Beşiktaş's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vahap Peyam 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. 66 minutes into the match, Vahap Peyam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hamza Zihni, 0-2. Agah Tuncel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sami Bekiroğlu having to interfere. Hamza Zihni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vahap Peyam's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Arif Cengiz Özan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamza Zihni. The goal made the score 0-4. After 92 played minutes, Ergün's Hüseyin Can Kudsi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hamza Zihni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ergün reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahap Peyam in the 95th minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Hamza Zihni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Beşiktaş supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ergün's performance. The match ended with a win for Ergün.
