The referee ignored Karaagac's protests and gave Arda Baybars Sulasi a yellow card for diving instead. Arda Baybars Sulasi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Karaagac's goal looked a bit too open when Ertaç Akbayrak came free, but Fatih Ünlü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Güner Toktimur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fatih Ünlü read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Ertaç Akbayrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertaç Akbayrak in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fatih Ünlü prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute Güner Toktimur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fatih Ünlü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Baltalimani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kadir Kaptan to maneuver through the defense. If Emran Tutuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güner Toktimur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fatih Ünlü having to interfere. The supporters of Karaagac booed when Baltalimani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güner Toktimur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner Løve stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emran Tutuş's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güner Toktimur in the 33rd minute of play forced Karaagac's goalkeeper Fatih Ünlü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltalimani:s Vágner Løve showed great skill when he stopped Gürol Başkaya:s penalty. 38 minutes into the match, Gürol Başkaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vágner Løve. Baltalimani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gürol Başkaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadir Kaptan in the 42nd minute of play forced Karaagac's goalkeeper Fatih Ünlü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şükrü Urandu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Vágner Løve made a huge save.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emran Tutuş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ertaç Akbayrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fatih Ünlü tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Vatan Kuddus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltalimani's Ertaç Akbayrak got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güner Toktimur struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Fatih Ünlü didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baltalimani. With a little luck, Karaagac's Fatih Ünlü got control of the ball when Ertaç Akbayrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match Hasan Ali Şahbender shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fatih Ünlü showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Baltalimani's Ertaç Akbayrak made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fatih Ünlü was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the game, Kadir Kaptan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fatih Ünlü.
