In the 3rd minute of the match Bumin Suhan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl Matsson skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruhi Ökmen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bora Sidar. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Ahmet Orhan Özmert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Sidar having to interfere. Reşat Durukan kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Bora Sidar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Orhan Özmert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aytuğ Paksu in the 19th minute of play forced Yenifakili JK's goalkeeper Bora Sidar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aytuğ Paksu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ahmet Orhan Özmert in the 27th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Bora Sidar kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After 29 played minutes Yenifakili JK got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Nuri Payam. Ruhi Ökmen struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bora Sidar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ziraat SK. If Ruhi Ökmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reşat Durukan's late challenge caught a Ziraat SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reşat Durukan helped the player get up and apologised. Reşat Durukan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Aytuğ Paksu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Veli Onay was the one to do the kick off. Afşar Baytugay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Sidar having to interfere. In the 55th minute Veli Onay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Matsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Orhan Özmert in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bora Sidar saved Yenifakili JK from getting behind. Yaşar Nuri Payam hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ziraat SK booed when Yenifakili JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bumin Suhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veli Onay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aytuğ Paksu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Sidar having to interfere. If Aytuğ Paksu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Orhan Özmert in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bora Sidar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bora Sidar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruhi Ökmen in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veli Onay in the 76th minute of play forced Ziraat SK's goalkeeper Karl Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Matsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaşar Nuri Payam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, one of Ziraat SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ziraat SK. Ruhi Hattat placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Aytuğ Paksu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Sidar having to interfere. Veli Onay took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Matsson. Karl Matsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1.
