In the 18th minute Kurtuluş Resul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Möllgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Zile's goalkeeper Alf Möllgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İsmail Hakkı Akyel. 22 minutes into the match, Genclerbirligi SK's goal looked a bit too open when Songurbey Ballı came free, but Akşemseddin Yağınalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Genclerbirligi SK's goalkeeper Akşemseddin Yağınalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurtuluş Resul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Kazım Şirvan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Akşemseddin Yağınalp. Kazım Şirvan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Songurbey Ballı struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Akşemseddin Yağınalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zile. Celil Talayman got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Akşemseddin Yağınalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazım Şirvan in the 59th minute of play. Alf Möllgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cevat Artuç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Songurbey Ballı took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Akşemseddin Yağınalp. Akşemseddin Yağınalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 72 played minutes Genclerbirligi SK got a freekick which was hit by Cevat Artuç. After a rather tough play, Genclerbirligi SK's Kurtuluş Resul got a free kick in the 74th minute. İsmail Hakkı Akyel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zile getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Eyüp Hacısalihoğlu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Zile's Yahya Kemal Teoman got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zile's zone, Dorukhan Güzir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alf Möllgren came out of the goal and Dorukhan Güzir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İsmail Hakkı Akyel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alf Möllgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
