Ferman Müşfik was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Emirhan Irgatbaşı capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emirhan Irgatbaşı really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Celtik's Gündüz Uzgoren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edip Bilgen in the 12th minute of play. Anıl Arda Çakmur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anıl Arda Çakmur struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gündüz Uzgoren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Refahiye SK. 19 minutes into the match, Celtik's goal looked a bit too open when Edip Bilgen came free, but Gündüz Uzgoren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Celtik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cumhur Baykan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Celtik's zone, Edip Bilgen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gündüz Uzgoren came out of the goal and Edip Bilgen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Refahiye SK's Edip Bilgen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gündüz Uzgoren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gündüz Uzgoren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Arda Çakmur, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Edip Bilgen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gündüz Uzgoren having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edip Bilgen in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gündüz Uzgoren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When İsmail Haliç fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtik's protests and gave İsmail Haliç a yellow card for diving instead. Anıl Arda Çakmur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gündüz Uzgoren having to make a save. Celtik's Gündüz Uzgoren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edip Bilgen in the 40th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emirhan Irgatbaşı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gündüz Uzgoren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edip Bilgen, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Ferman Müşfik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emirhan Irgatbaşı in the 65th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Celtik's goalkeeper Gündüz Uzgoren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 74 played minutes Celtik got a freekick which was hit by İsmail Haliç. Celtik's Gündüz Uzgoren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Semavi Yengi in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Celtik's goalkeeper Gündüz Uzgoren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anıl Arda Çakmur. Anıl Arda Çakmur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gündüz Uzgoren having to interfere. The supporters of Refahiye SK booed when Celtik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hıncal Tezkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doğukan Açıkel's late challenge caught a Celtik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doğukan Açıkel helped the player get up and apologised. Doğukan Açıkel hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Cumhur Baykan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Refahiye SK's Ferman Müşfik did a great save. Refahiye SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
