Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mustafa Kemal Babürşah started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Gürpinar JK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mustafa Cumhur Çetinsoy hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Balıkesirspors's Gafur Tara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Balıkesirspors's goal looked a bit too open when Arslan Tanak came free, but Metin Şahit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Kemal Babürşah received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmet Hasan Ilgaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Mustafa Kemal Babürşah slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. If Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Balıkesirspors's Mustafa Kemal Babürşah got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Balıkesirspors getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vacid Beyazit hit a great ball. Kılıçalp Sazak's late challenge caught a Balıkesirspors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kılıçalp Sazak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute Mustafa Kemal Babürşah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Hasan Ilgaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Balıkesirspors's zone, Şener Kuter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Metin Şahit came out of the goal and Şener Kuter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Balıkesirspors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazil Doğu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Arslan Tanak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 43 played minutes Gürpinar JK got a freekick which was hit by Batu Uçman. A collision led to Balıkesirspors getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Egemen Mutlualp hit a great ball. Rıza Özguner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Metin Şahit. Balıkesirspors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arslan Tanak to make the kick off. Şener Kuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Metin Şahit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Metin Şahit successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nazil Doğu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Batu Uçman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Şener Kuter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metin Şahit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arslan Tanak, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Gürpinar JK's goal looked a bit too open when Gürhan Kılıçdaroğlu came free, but Ahmet Hasan Ilgaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mustafa Kemal Babürşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Şener Kuter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gürpinar JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Şener Kuter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Metin Şahit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
