The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 played minutes Göle got a freekick which was hit by Şinasi Orsel. After having played for 14 minutes, Cafer Yerhum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gökcebey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafer Yerhum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Halis Baykal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gökcebey fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Abdullah Tenzil, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Selçuk Akdoğ was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Göle getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tuna Vechi hit a great ball. Halis Baykal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Cafer Yerhum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Göle's Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cafer Yerhum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil having to interfere. Ersin Koçarslanoğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Gökcebey's Cafer Yerhum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdullah Tenzil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Göle got a corner. Gökcebey's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tuna Vechi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Göle's corner Tuna Vechi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Selçuk Akdoğ quite easily take care of the ball. In the 56th minute Cafer Yerhum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cafer Yerhum's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Battal Seyyit Sertaçgil was relentless in the 58th minute of the game.
