Emre Dengiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nurtekin Yazıcıoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Galatabahçe's Ramazan Kebir quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Seyrani Ağaverdi, made in the 11th minute of the game. Gafur İklim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Akın Özyurek's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, TUZYAKA GÜCÜ's Cesur Tezveren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emre Dengiz. Emre Dengiz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Cesur Tezveren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Emre Dengiz made a huge save. The supporters of Galatabahçe booed when TUZYAKA GÜCÜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Ozan Uçanok didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Battal Özmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatabahçe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Battal Özmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Battal Özmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gafur İklim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Özmen in the 43rd minute of play forced TUZYAKA GÜCÜ's goalkeeper Gafur İklim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gafur İklim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akın Özyurek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Hayri Erben's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gafur İklim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ahmet Hayri Erben managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatabahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hayri Erben was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gafur İklim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Akın Özyurek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gafur İklim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battal Özmen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gafur İklim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Akın Özyurek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 53 minute of play. After 57 played minutes Akın Özyurek rounded TUZYAKA GÜCÜ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. Emre Dengiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurtekin Yazıcıoğlu in the 60th minute of play. The TUZYAKA GÜCÜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesur Tezveren in the 71st minute of play forced Galatabahçe's goalkeeper Emre Dengiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Akın Özyurek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gafur İklim. Akın Özyurek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Battal Özmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gafur İklim having to interfere. 87 minutes in the game, Akın Özyurek dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Galatabahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Cesur Tezveren came free, but Emre Dengiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akın Özyurek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Galatabahçe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
