A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caybasi's zone, Tacettin İzgü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demir Cansun came out of the goal and Tacettin İzgü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Selcuk FK defense, Doğaner Kuntay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Emrah Eker. The Selcuk FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Emrah Eker should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Caybasi's goal looked a bit too open when Tacettin İzgü came free, but Demir Cansun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tacettin İzgü in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demir Cansun saved Caybasi from getting behind. Demir Cansun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tacettin İzgü's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Yavuzalp Geylanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demir Cansun having to interfere. The supporters of Caybasi booed when Selcuk FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halis Umural didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caybasi's goalkeeper Demir Cansun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yavuzalp Geylanoğlu struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Demir Cansun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selcuk FK. Caybasi's Demir Cansun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tacettin İzgü in the 36th minute of play. Demir Cansun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tacettin İzgü, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilgin Şafakgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğaner Kuntay in the 43rd minute of play forced Selcuk FK's goalkeeper Mustafa Emrah Eker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Halis Umural was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selcuk FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caybasi the free kick. Halis Umural kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Yavuzalp Geylanoğlus short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Demir Cansun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doğaner Kuntay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tacettin İzgü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Doğaner Kuntay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ahmet Gökalp Perkel's late challenge caught a Selcuk FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Gökalp Perkel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Ahmet Gökalp Perkel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Selcuk FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
