The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Manisa's Gündüz Dilsaz got control of the ball when Cevahir Pekgöz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Şahin Özan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarkan İlbey having to interfere. Gündüz Dilsaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Çelebi Toktaş's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Gündüz Dilsaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevahir Pekgöz in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Cevahir Pekgöz made a precise shot to the right of Gündüz Dilsaz. Manisa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Gündüz Dilsaz came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Karabaglar's Mehmet Ferit Tanaltay. But to his dismay, Mehmet Ferit Tanaltay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Karabaglar getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ahmet Bülent Talaz hit a great ball. Ali Galip Kemal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Tarkan İlbey 90 minutes into the match.
