Thorbjørn Wathne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aybek Türcan in the 48th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aybek Türcan to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in KIZIL ELMA's zone, Rıza Başkaynak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorbjørn Wathne came out of the goal and Rıza Başkaynak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aybek Türcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorbjørn Wathne having to interfere. Ahmet Hayri Arıkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teoman Tanju in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Boran Ramazanoğulları during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Viking Fc getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ahmet Boran Ramazanoğulları hit a great ball. Viking Fc's Aybek Türcan got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Tuna Generalov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KIZIL ELMA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viking Fc the free kick.
