The supporters of Menemen JK booed when Menemen JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sami Şahinalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Hakkı Kenan Zafer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İsa Selim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tuğrul Ankara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Tuğrul Ankara managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Menemen JK's Hakkı Kenan Zafer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 19th match minute, Menemen JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fethi Öksal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Menemen JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Menemen JK:s goal. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Menemen JK. Enver Tecer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tuğrul Ankara. 1-1. When Sami Şahinalp fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menemen JK's protests and gave Sami Şahinalp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Sami Şahinalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mithat Uzalp fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Rıza Akad in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haşim Ustam saved Menemen JK from getting behind. After 35 played minutes, Menemen JK's Doruk Akyıldız shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haşim Ustam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Menemen JK reached it. Menemen JK's Hakkı Kenan Zafer got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Erol Bayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute İsa Selim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuğrul Ankara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İsa Selim to strike the kick off in the second half. Haşim Ustam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer Rıza Akad in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Menemen JK got a freekick which was hit by İhsan Sancaktar. Haşim Ustam came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Menemen JK's Davut Kabil. But to his dismay, Davut Kabil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 62 minutes, Berkin Özgu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menemen JK and the Menemen JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Menemen JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menemen JK the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fethi Öksal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menemen JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Fethi Öksal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haşim Ustam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Davut Kabil fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. İsa Selim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Menemen JK's goal looked a bit too open when İsa Selim came free, but Tuğrul Ankara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Mithat Uzalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A long shot from Berkan Yazıcıoğlu in the 92nd minute of play was well struck, but Haşim Ustam made a really good save at the right post. Davut Kabil kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Menemen JK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Menemen JK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
