When Güvenç Üster fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray SK's protests and gave Güvenç Üster a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Güvenç Üster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rami's Fatih Ayaydın couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Galatasaray SK. 18 minutes into the match, Gürsel Göçmen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Batuğ Aktürk. Galatasaray SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gürsel Göçmen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 23 minutes, Gürsel Göçmen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray SK's Batuğ Aktürk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Galatasaray SK's Batuğ Aktürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürsel Göçmen in the 26th minute of play. Galatasaray SK's Güvenç Üster got his second yellow card of the match in the 27th minute. The referee ordered Güvenç Üster off the ground. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Güvenç Üster hit a great ball. When Rami's Gürsel Göçmen in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Batuğ Aktürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürsel Göçmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Gürsel Göçmen made a precise shot to the right of Batuğ Aktürk. Galatasaray SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 40th minute Gürsel Göçmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batuğ Aktürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baybora Vural in the 46th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Batuğ Aktürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Batuğ Aktürk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vahit Akdoruk was the one to do the kick off. Batuğ Aktürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Göçmen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Galatasaray SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuh Akburç to maneuver through the defense. Baybora Vural received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Batuğ Aktürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rami's Doğukan Tekalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahit Akdoruk in the 59th minute of play. Vahit Akdoruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batuğ Aktürk made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Baybora Vural sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuh Akburç during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nuh Akburç hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, one of Galatasaray SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baybora Vural got free with Batuğ Aktürk in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Vahit Akdoruk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Batuğ Aktürk got control of the ball when Baybora Vural tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gürsel Göçmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rami had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
