The referee ignored fenerbahçe's protests and gave Artaç Suhan a yellow card for diving instead. Artaç Suhan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Alper Tuğbay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eser Saruca having to make a save. Aktaç Sezgin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eser Saruca having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Ali Nabi Düden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altınordu Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 30th minute Ali Nabi Düden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Suavi Rıdvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eser Saruca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of fenerbahçe booed when Altınordu Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. If Aktaç Sezgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eser Saruca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aktaç Sezgin's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The fenerbahçe manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Altınordu Fc to win.
