Şansal Uğurel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edip Baykara in the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atak İmam in the 49th minute of play forced Konya FK's goalkeeper Şansal Uğurel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Konya FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vardar were winning 0-3.

When Mahir Uygu fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vardar's protests and gave Mahir Uygu a yellow card for diving instead.
