The audience was convinced that Arif Memduh Çağlar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdi Saygın Canpolat was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Vahit Balkoç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Abdi Saygın Canpolat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, one of Kocamustafapasa FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kocamustafapasa FK. 22 minutes into the match, Kocamustafapasa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Vahit Balkoç came free, but Abdi Saygın Canpolat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdi Saygın Canpolat came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Özvatan's Arif Memduh Çağlar. But to his dismay, Arif Memduh Çağlar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Özvatan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Aybar Naim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ozan Alpsoy in the 40th minute. Zekeriya Gökçek struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Aybar Naim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kocamustafapasa FK. Abdi Saygın Canpolat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arif Memduh Çağlar went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arif Memduh Çağlar to make the kick off. With a little luck, Kocamustafapasa FK's Abdi Saygın Canpolat got control of the ball when Vahit Balkoç tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zekeriya Gökçek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kocamustafapasa FK's zone, İrfan Üçok stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdi Saygın Canpolat came out of the goal and İrfan Üçok tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Arif Memduh Çağlar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdi Saygın Canpolat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Vahit Balkoç got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Özvatan booed when Kocamustafapasa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Köksal Sonat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdi Saygın Canpolat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Memduh Çağlar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kocamustafapasa FK's Ali Cengiz Yildıran got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Vahit Balkoç reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abdi Saygın Canpolat. The goal made the score 1-5. Gürel Tuğsav hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Abdi Saygın Canpolat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Memduh Çağlar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes Kocamustafapasa FK got a freekick which was hit by Aşkın Okbaş. In the 81st minute of the match, Vahit Balkoç got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abdi Saygın Canpolat was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vahit Balkoçs short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Abdi Saygın Canpolat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vahit Balkoç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdi Saygın Canpolat having to interfere. Gürel Tuğsav hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Vahit Balkoç in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdi Saygın Canpolat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vahit Balkoç who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Abdi Saygın Canpolat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Vahit Balkoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Özvatan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Özvatan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
