When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Güney İlighan put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mustafa Barış Mutlu. Berkan FK's attentive Erkut Necmi managed to snatch the ball when Koray Elfaz made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Güney İlighan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gerede SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Abdi Mehmet Yaybüke kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Berkan FK's goalkeeper Mustafa Barış Mutlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Güney İlighan. With his leg Mustafa Barış Mutlu managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Gerede SK's Güney İlighan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emran Ilıcak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Plucinik's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Güney İlighan to make the kick off. The supporters of Gerede SK booed when Berkan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Plucinik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Barış Mutlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güney İlighan in the 94th minute of the match. Berkan FK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Gerede SK had won, even though Berkan FK had held more of the ball.
