Semavi Gümüş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zülfikar Çalapover's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes, Gencay Ehlimen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samsun JK and the Dernekpazari players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Samsun JK's Gencay Ehlimen got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Alim Sönmezalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samsun JK's goalkeeper Semavi Gümüş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Samsun JK's Semavi Gümüş got control of the ball when Kılıç Türev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kılıç Türev struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Semavi Gümüş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dernekpazari. After 29 played minutes, Samsun JK's Çağatay Altunç shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zekeriya Dilan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Samsun JK reached it. If Zülfikar Çalapover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Semavi Gümüş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zülfikar Çalapover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Dernekpazari's Kılıç Türev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Semavi Gümüş. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Samsun JK's zone, Zülfikar Çalapover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Semavi Gümüş came out of the goal and Zülfikar Çalapover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Ferhan İslam tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Semavi Gümüş saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vahdet Malik made a kick off. Gencay Ehlimen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Zekeriya Dilan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kerim Taceddin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
