After a rather tough play, Merinos JK's Nazil Özmen got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Merinos JK's zone, Habib Himmet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamdi Tanbolat came out of the goal and Habib Himmet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th match minute, Merinos JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Gaffar Vaha to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes of play, Elbeyli's Ferit Tükelalp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamdi Tanbolat was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elbeyli's goalkeeper Bayındır Mehmet Uçbay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ender Kamaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Hazar Ocakçı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elbeyli and the Merinos JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Hazar Ocakçı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Ahmet Açıkalın sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Elbeyli's Bayındır Mehmet Uçbay didn't even have to move. Elbeyli's Habib Himmet got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Elbeyli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ömer Konguralp to maneuver through the defense. Hamdi Tanbolat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Habib Himmet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 93 minute of play.
