In the 6th minute, one of İçerenköy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for İçerenköy. Sermet Kutlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sermet Kutlay came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SAMSUNSPOR's Oktay Ömür. But to his dismay, Oktay Ömür quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Eşref Şimşek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hakkı Deniz Baler kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Battal Gazi Kadıoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şerif Kılıçaslan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Battal Gazi Kadıoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, SAMSUNSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Battal Gazi Kadıoğlu came free, but Şerif Kılıçaslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, SAMSUNSPOR's goalkeeper Şerif Kılıçaslan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nazmi Enginsoy. A hard shot 40 in the game by Serkan Kalhan from a close distance when the talented Şerif Kılıçaslan managed to make a qualified save. SAMSUNSPOR's players were relieved. Sermet Kutlay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oktay Ömür in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Eşref Şimşek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAMSUNSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eşref Şimşek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
