Tansu Orcun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baturalp Eygül having to make a save. Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Berkan Taygun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kalkan's Berkan Taygun. Berkan Taygun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kalkan's Duran Tümkan got a free kick in the 17th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Binali Ilımlı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güzelyali's supporters rose to their feet, but Binali Ilımlı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berkan Taygun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Binali Ilımlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berkan Taygun was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Berkan Taygun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Binali Ilımlı in the 43rd minute of the match. When Binali Ilımlı came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Güzelyali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Binali Ilımlı couldn't finish the play. Bora Sidal hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Berkan Taygun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binali Ilımlı in the 47th minute of play. Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Güzelyali were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tansu Orcun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Güzelyali's Baturalp Eygül played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müfit Urandu in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Kalkan booed when Güzelyali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kağan İlksel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalkan's Tansu Orcun got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkan Taygun having to interfere. Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kalkan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tansu Orcun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kalkan! 0-2 came through a penalty shot after 83 played minutes, when Güzelyali:s Şanver Haseki calmly waited for Kalkan:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Berkan Taygun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute Erkut Betik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baturalp Eygül saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kalkan's zone, Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berkan Taygun came out of the goal and Arın Ferhat Öksüzoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
