With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enginsu Yalgın in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okan Bayman saved Afsin FK from getting behind. 5 minutes into the game, Southampton FC's Ahmet Ceyhan Kınay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okan Bayman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Beyhan Ecemiş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ahmet Nafiz Pirane fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Afsin FK's protests and gave Ahmet Nafiz Pirane a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Afsin FK's Ahmet Nafiz Pirane got a free kick in the 17th minute. Okan Bayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Ceyhan Kınay in the 25th minute of play. Fedai Rical sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enginsu Yalgın in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okan Bayman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the game, Enginsu Yalgın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Okan Bayman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enginsu Yalgın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Okan Bayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ceyhan Kınay in the 38th minute of play forced Afsin FK's goalkeeper Okan Bayman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ahmet Ceyhan Kınay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute, Bulut Kadirsah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enginsu Yalgın to strike the kick off in the second half. Faik Tanay made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Southampton FC's Özdemir Berksoy. When Southampton FC's Enginsu Yalgın in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enginsu Yalgın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Southampton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Afsin FK throughout the match.
