Akşemseddin Okutan came out of the goal and Nazım Erentürk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seyfullah Saraçoğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esat Akmeşe having to make a save. 19 minutes into the game, Nazmi Sanal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balatspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ahirkapi the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Balatspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazmi Sanal to maneuver through the defense. Arif Vasif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esat Akmeşe having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Necaettin Ilgın during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Seyfullah Saraçoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Esat Akmeşe made a huge save. When Nazmi Sanal came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Balatspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazmi Sanal couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Özkan Kabak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Nazım Erentürk managed to get in a good position for a shot.
