The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Sutaşı City booed when Kirklareli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şimşek Ustam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sezgin Tezcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Ali Tulum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kirklareli getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Esen Murat hit a great ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kirklareli's goalkeeper Sezgin Tezcan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Sutaşı City's Sezgin Tezcan threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hacı Ali Tulum, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 42nd minute Hacı Ali Tulum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezgin Tezcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulhamit Sehim during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hacı Ali Tulum made the kick off in the second half. Tayfun Uçbeyi charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tayfun Uçbeyi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Songurbey Sanbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sezgin Tezcan was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Sezgin Tezcan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esen Murat, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Songurbey Sanbay struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Sezgin Tezcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutaşı City. 95 minutes into the match, Kirklareli's goal looked a bit too open when Hacı Ali Tulum came free, but Sezgin Tezcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Songurbey Sanbay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sezgin Tezcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
