Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SUMBAS FK's Ercüment Polathan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aycan Vala hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Erhan Ergunalp came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kudret Tanaltan could save by the left post. Erdinç Cangun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuna Özbil having to interfere. With a little luck, SUMBAS FK's Kudret Tanaltan got control of the ball when Erhan Ergunalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Bülent Kuter in the 9th minute of play forced SUMBAS FK's goalkeeper Kudret Tanaltan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ercüment Polathan came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the SUMBAS FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercüment Polathan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erdinç Cangun in the 14th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Tuna Özbil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Gaffar Özaktuğ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the SUMBAS FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaffar Özaktuğ hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ercüment Polathan struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Tuna Özbil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUMBAS FK. Tuna Özbil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erdinç Cangun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 minutes of play, SUMBAS FK's Ercüment Polathan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tuna Özbil was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, SUMBAS FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Kuter came free, but Kudret Tanaltan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yasin İlcan's late challenge caught a SUMBAS FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yasin İlcan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SUMBAS FK booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yasin İlcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute Yasin İlcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kudret Tanaltan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Ercüment Polathan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuna Özbil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Ahmet Bülent Kuter took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Kudret Tanaltan to make any attempt to save it. Erdinç Cangun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tuna Özbil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Ercüment Polathan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUMBAS FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercüment Polathan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when SUMBAS FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bumin Ağırtaş didn't get a good kick on the ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Bülent Kuter to make the kick off. Kudret Tanaltan came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray's Ahmet Bülent Kuter. But to his dismay, Ahmet Bülent Kuter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Erdinç Cangun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuna Özbil having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, SUMBAS FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Kuter came free, but Kudret Tanaltan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuna Özbil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erdinç Cangun, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes, Bumin Ağırtaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SUMBAS FK and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bumin Ağırtaş kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match Mehmet Çağrı Siret shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kudret Tanaltan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute Galatasaray were awarded a corner. Mehmet Çağrı Siret went to the cornerflag to take it. Erdinç Cangun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ercüment Polathan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kudret Tanaltan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erhan Ergunalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tuna Özbil was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Erdinç Cangun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erdinç Cangun really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Tuna Özbil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdinç Cangun in the 89th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ercüment Polathan in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tuna Özbil saved Galatasaray from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Savaşer Sönmezalp during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Savaşer Sönmezalp. SUMBAS FK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Galatasaray had won, even though SUMBAS FK had held more of the ball.
