Tansu Tolgunay might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Ali Zülfikar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tansu Tolgunay ran back to his position shaking his head. Tercüman FK's Mustafa Ali Zülfikar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Tercüman FK from getting a goal against them. Fenerbahçe's Mustafa Ali Ersan got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Bozkurt Benlioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zekai Timur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Aybar Şahsar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Ali Zülfikar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 27th match minute, Fenerbahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tansu Tolgunay to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tansu Tolgunay was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Tercüman FK defense, Tansu Tolgunay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Ali Zülfikar. The Tercüman FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Ali Zülfikar should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tercüman FK's zone, Aybar Şahsar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Ali Zülfikar came out of the goal and Aybar Şahsar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Tercüman FK's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Ali Ersan came free, but Mustafa Ali Zülfikar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Erdal Durul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Erdal Durul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdal Durul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Ali Zülfikar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Tercüman FK's Fedai Kazım dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. Fenerbahçe's Zekai Timur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe from getting a goal against them. After 73 minutes of play, Fenerbahçe's Erdal Durul made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mustafa Ali Zülfikar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Fenerbahçe booed when Tercüman FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bozkurt Benlioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ercan Sani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Ercan Sani got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Zekai Timur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bozkurt Benlioğlu in the 83rd minute. Tansu Tolgunay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. İsmet Baltacıoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mevlüt Acabey 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-3. When Ercan Sani came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fenerbahçe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercan Sani couldn't finish the play. Fenerbahçe's Erdal Durul got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fenerbahçe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
