The audience was convinced that Fadıl Saner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdülhak Ülküsel was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Temel Hürsel in the 21st minute of play forced Altinekin's goalkeeper Abdülhak Ülküsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdülhak Ülküsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Temel Hürsel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes, Mesut Kutsan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altinekin and the Akyazi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Mesut Kutsan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Akyazi got a freekick which was hit by Şenol Sualp. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mesut Kutsan to make the kick off. Tayyar Keramettin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Abdülhak Ülküsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Temel Hürsel, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Alper Bozok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çelebi Selman in the 57th minute of the match. Temel Hürsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdülhak Ülküsel having to interfere. When Fadıl Saner came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Akyazi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fadıl Saner couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Bahtiyar Uluberk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altinekin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 78 minutes into the game, Çelikan Gerdaneri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akyazi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altinekin the free kick.
