Avanos SK's Burhan Özgener played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ecevit Bilgin in the 13th minute of play. Eray Uzsan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kadir Haliloğlu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Nurkan Kurhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kadir Haliloğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eray Uzsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kadir Haliloğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avanos SK! Eray Uzsan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nurkan Kurhan went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Mustafa Namık Erol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Kadri Ökmener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Burhan Özgener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Avanos SK's Hamdi Hanecioğlu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

If Kadir Haliloğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avanos SK's goalkeeper Burhan Özgener, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Ahmet Yahya Uzay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Günyüzü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Yahya Uzay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Günyüzü's Mustafa Namık Erol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Burhan Özgener. That made the score 3-2 after 98 minutes of play.
