In the 15th minute, Zülfikar Şimşek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabri Kutlubay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eray Uzsan having to interfere. Lapseki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Günyüzü the free kick. Ahmet Kadri Ökmener charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Kadri Ökmener the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Günyüzü getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ahmet Kadri Ökmener hit a great ball. Ecevit Bilgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Günyüzü's zone, Zülfikar Şimşek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eray Uzsan came out of the goal and Zülfikar Şimşek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Zülfikar Şimşek in the 51st minute of play forced Günyüzü's goalkeeper Eray Uzsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seyrani Onsoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ecevit Bilgin in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Lapseki getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Yusuf Bahadır Ozan hit a great ball. Ahmet Kadri Ökmener got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 60th minute, Ahmet Kadri Ökmener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 minutes, Hüsamettin Neşit mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Günyüzü and the Lapseki players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Günyüzü:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lapseki:s goal. With his leg Eray Uzsan managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Lapseki's Zülfikar Şimşek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yiğit Can Aktürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Seyrani Onsoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecevit Bilgin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seyrani Onsoy having to interfere. The Lapseki players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
