Gökay Üngörmüş's late challenge caught a Cayyolu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gökay Üngörmüş helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cayyolu booed when Sungurlu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökay Üngörmüş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sungurlu's Yücel Özyuva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahtiyar Vuralhan in the 4th minute of play. Yücel Özyuva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bahtiyar Vuralhan went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute, Korcan Ongu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünsal Tolgan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 12th minute, Sungurlu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ayvaz Babür fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 19th minute Bahtiyar Vuralhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yücel Özyuva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seçkin Özan in the 34th minute of play forced Cayyolu's goalkeeper Ünsal Tolgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Baykam Kambay fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayyolu's protests and gave Baykam Kambay a yellow card for diving instead. Baykam Kambay hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Seçkin Özan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünsal Tolgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Sungurlu's goalkeeper Yücel Özyuva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ayvaz Babür. If Ayvaz Babür had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seçkin Özan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Cayyolu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sungurlu were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bahtiyar Vuralhan was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cayyolu's goalkeeper Ünsal Tolgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cayyolu's zone, Korcan Ongu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ünsal Tolgan came out of the goal and Korcan Ongu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Cayyolu's Ünsal Tolgan got control of the ball when Korcan Ongu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kartal Başaydın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ünsal Tolgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Sungurlu's Ünsal Tolgan threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Seçkin Özan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Seçkin Özan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ünsal Tolgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sungurlu. With a little luck, Cayyolu's Ünsal Tolgan got control of the ball when Korcan Ongu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Sungurlu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Talha Ziverbey to maneuver through the defense. Ayvaz Babür fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yücel Özyuva having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sungurlu's goalkeeper Yücel Özyuva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Halil Can Serbülend fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sungurlu's protests and gave Halil Can Serbülend a yellow card for diving instead. Halil Can Serbülend hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Sungurlu played a much better game than Cayyolu and deserved their victory. The Cayyolu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
