But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayfun Oyal couldn't finish the play. Çeliker Soyuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faik Kutlughan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The referee ignored Mut JK's protests and gave Bülent Yahya a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Arslan Oytunç from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Selami Bala's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
