Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. Pascual Carballar made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 17th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Zuasnabar came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Abram Sarmiento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sitthachat Jampeehom. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Miguel Zuasnabar might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Zuasnabar ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Zuasnabar in the 31st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Abram Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sitthachat Jampeehom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Miguel Zuasnabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascual Carballar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sitthachat Jampeehom having to interfere. Gavião Kyikatejê's attentive Gogo Oriol managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Garrido made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. When Miguel Zuasnabar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gavião Kyikatejê fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Zuasnabar couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Bittencourt in the 62nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and João Vítor Bittencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Vítor Bittencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Gavião Kyikatejê's João Vítor Bittencourt. But to his dismay, João Vítor Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 75th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The throw-in from Joshua Garrido in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gavião Kyikatejê's Gogo Oriol. In the 85th minute, Samuel Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Bittencourt in the 86th minute of play. Gavião Kyikatejê's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
