In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bucak's goalkeeper Aktan Kutluay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aktan Kutluay made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Babür Kayıboylu sent off a good shot on target. Sarper Arman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bucak's Aktan Kutluay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Bucak from getting a goal against them. Babür Kayıboylu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktan Kutluay having to interfere. Bucak's Aktan Kutluay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sarper Arman in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Uğuralp Mahir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güneş Ağçelik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Babür Kayıboylu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Aktan Kutluay made a huge save. Ankara's Nihat Murtaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kemal Derelioğlu in the 40th minute of play. Galip Yaygır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nihat Murtaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some careless play in the Ankara defense, Güneş Ağçelik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nihat Murtaza. The Ankara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nihat Murtaza should have stopped the shot. Bucak's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
