After 15 minutes, Ünsal Direm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catalca and the Bünyan SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ünsal Direm hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Baykal Oğuztan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mehmet Akif Zafer to make any attempt to save it. Fevzi Sabancı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 26 minutes, Ali Çağrı Kotuzhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catalca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Çağrı Kotuzhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Catalca's Ali Çağrı Kotuzhan in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bünyan SK's Necdet Göçmen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Saygın Koyas in the 42nd minute of play. After 48 played minutes Bünyan SK got a freekick which was hit by Arif Çelebi Revha. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdi Saygın Koyas was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Catalca's zone, Onurhan Tekalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Akif Zafer came out of the goal and Onurhan Tekalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bünyan SK's Fevzi Sabancı got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Baykal Oğuztan made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Akif Zafer. Catalca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Abdi Saygın Koyas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fevzi Sabancı in the 87th minute of play forced Catalca's goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Zafer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Bünyan SK's Fevzi Sabancı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Akif Zafer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Abdi Saygın Koyas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
